God wants you to be confident in your new relationship as a member of his family. Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” 

When you became a Christian, these things happened:

• You heard and accepted Christ’s claims of forgiveness and eternal life.
• You believed in the living God who sent Jesus Christ and trusted his testimony about Christ.
• By hearing the good news of Jesus Christ and believing God for your salvation, you have eternal life.
• You will not be condemned, ever. This is a present reality.
• You are no longer separated from God, but are joined together with him for eternity—beginning now.

• What helps you stay connected to God?
• How can you connect with God more on a daily basis?

Take Action:

Schedule some ten-minute time slots to connect with God each day next week. List them on your calendar as appointments with God and do all you can to keep the appointments. Use the time to read the Bible or a devotional, pray, or meditate on God.
