Telling Others about Jesus

Golden Nugget: You are the best source of life-changing information for the people in your life who have yet to meet Christ.

Daily Message:

The most common way for people to learn about Jesus Christ is from another person. The Bible states, “Faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ” (Romans 10:17).

Many people come to faith because they have been told the truth about Jesus Christ: the message of his love for all, his death for each person, and his resurrection on our behalf. So often when our friends, loved ones, colleagues, and neighbors hear the message that “God so loved the world,” then God helps them to want to know more about the story (John 3:16). And when your loved ones see the changes in your life, they can see firsthand the impact of a relationship with Jesus.

You are the best source of life-changing information for the people in your life, no matter how long you have been a Christ-follower. Be willing to tell your story about how God has changed you. Your story can give others hope.

Consider This:

  • Who needs to know the story of how you decided to become a Christ-follower?
  • When can you communicate your story to them?

Take Action:

Practice telling your story about how you made a decision to follow Jesus Christ. You may want to write a short version of the story. Include what you were thinking or doing before you made your decision, how God made it all possible, and what is different about your life now. Consider e-mailing the story to a close friend or family member.
