Worst of Sinners

Worst of Sinners

Golden Nugget: When you acknowledged your sins and accepted Christ’s payment for them, all your sins were all forgiven—past, present, and future.

Daily Message:

Paul called himself the “worst of sinners,” yet he became one of the most influential figures in all Christian history. Thoroughly dedicated to living for God and sharing Jesus’ message, Paul is an example to all believers. If Christ’s death was sufficient for Paul, then it is sufficient for every person and for any sin.

Paul understood the purpose of his path in life: “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.”

Just as it did for Paul, Jesus Christ’s death on the cross paid the debt for your sins and satisfied God’s righteous demand for justice. When you acknowledged your sins and accepted Christ’s payment for them, all your sins were all forgiven—past, present, and future—though you may think yourself the worst of sinners. God has removed all guilt from you.

Consider This:

  • Who do you know that is struggling with guilt over past sins?
  • How can you get this message to them?

Take Action:

The message of Christ’s forgiveness and offer of a fresh start is incredible. Find someone in your life who might have a need for a fresh start. As with Paul’s story, your forgiveness story may give them hope. Tell them your story this week.
